Obituary for Christine Waters

MILLIS: Christine Perrin Waters died peacefully Thursday April 6, 2017 at the Medway Country Manor Nursing Facility surrounded by family. She was 74.
Formerly of Medfield, she was the daughter of the late Thomas E. and Wilma (Knight) Perrin. She was educated through the Medfield schools and was a member of the Medfield High School graduating class of 1960. She then went on and attended Curry College where studied education.
Christine was employed by Medfield State Hospital from 1962 to 1980. She then was employed as a Unit Secretary by Metro West Medical (Leonard Morse) before retiring in 2001.
Chris was a naturally artistic woman. A singer from a young age, she performed in many shows, sang with her church choir and constantly sang around the house. She enjoyed crafts such as knitting, crocheting, ceramics and stained glass.
As an active member at the Church of Christ, Congregational in Millis, she sang in the choir for many years and had a table at their annual Jolly Holly Fair where she made Christmas ornaments and decorations.
One of Chris’s favorite pastimes was camping. She and her husband Bob began camping early in their marriage in a tent, over the years moving up to a trailer where the entire family enjoyed many vacations.
Chris was a woman of many talents. In addition to her love of music and crafts, she was an amazing cook. She had a way of making the perfect comfort food for whatever occasion arose. She loved to laugh and had a wonderful sense of humor. Her laughter was infectious and her smile would light up a room.
Christine leaves behind her beloved husband Robert H. Waters. She was the loving mother of Thomas Waters and his wife Stacey of Taunton and Rebecca Abalutzk and her husband Brian of Millis. Also survived by her sister Linda Molloy and her husband Robert. She was predeceased by her sister Beverly Darling.
Funeral services will be Tuesday 11am at the Church of Christ, 142 Exchange St, Millis, MA 02054 followed by burial at Vine Lake Cemetery in Medfield. Visiting hours will be Monday 4-7 at the Roberts-Mitchell FH, 90 Curve St, Millis.
