Obituary for Julia Anszperger

Julia Anszperger
MEDFIELD: Julia Anszperger passed away in her sleep on April 4, 2017 at the Thomas Upham House in Medfield, MA. She was 97 years old.

She was born on June 6, 1919 in Marsteller, PA

Julia was the beloved wife of the late Connie Anszperger and is survived by her daughter, Marcie Anszperger of Hillsborough, NJ and son Jan & daughter-in-law Karen Anszperger of Medfield, MA. She was the beloved Babci to her grandchildren, Brendan & Colin White and Zoe & Noah Anszperger. She is the sister of Irene Lewandowski of Garfield NJ and predeceased by her siblings: Mary Horodyski, Anna Lanzara, Jessie Gemski, Frank Wojcik, Verne Ramundo, Walter Wojcik, Sophie Kurnath, Agnes Kiellar, and Edward Wojcik.

Julia retired from R.D. Hunter and Associates in Paramus, NJ as executive secretary.

She previously resided in Paramus, NJ and South Yarmouth, MA. Julia was a member of The Church of St. Edward the Confessor in Medfield, and previously, St Pius X Church in South Yarmouth, MA and Our Lady of Visitation, Paramus, NJ.

Julia was a very active member of the Medfield Senior Center. Additionally, she was a member of the Arfa Singing Society of Passaic NJ, the Eighth Air Force Historical Society, and the Second Schweinfurt Memorial Association. She was devoted to her family and friends, and loved to knit and crochet. Her apple pies were legendary! Julia was proud of her Polish heritage and visited the family homestead in Poland with her sisters.

Her funeral Mass will be held at The Church of St. Edward the Confessor, 133 Spring Street, Medfield, MA on Wednesday April 12, 2017 at 10am followed by a service at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA. Visiting hours will be Tuesday April 11 from 6 to 8 pm at the Roberts-Mitchell Funeral Home, 15 Miller St, Medfield MA.
