Obituary for Denise Newcomb (O'Toole)

Print
After a two year battle with cancer, Denise passed peacefully on her 60th birthday. She was right where she wanted to be, with her friends and family vacationing on Cape Cod.

As a Hairdresser in the town of Medfield for over 40 years, she touched the lives of many.
Along with her husband Gary, they fostered three children, which culminated in the adoption of their beautiful daughter Sabrina.

Denise was a champion to underdogs everywhere. On more than one occasion she shaved her head to benefit the St Baldrick's Foundation. She could often be found in her yard with the neighborhood children planning and participating in all kinds of fun and games. Known as an animal lover, friends and neighbors would bring orphaned animals such as birds, squirrels and rabbits to her, which she and Sabrina would raise and return to nature.

Denise was a loving and dedicated daughter, wife and mother. Her love for her nieces and nephews was unending. She will be sorely missed by many.

She was the loving daughter of Edith (Vasaturo) and the late Thomas O'Toole. Cherished sister of Debbie Sherraden and her husband Dennis and the late Maureen O'Toole.

A memorial service will be held Friday August 24th 11am at the Church of Christ, 142 Exchange Street, Millis.

In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions in Denise's name to the St. Baldrick's Foundation, PO Box 4800, 8520 Michigan Ave, Whittier, CA 90607.
