Patricia Jane Brady of Millis, MA, 48, died on August 15th, 2020 due to complications from an asthma-induced respiratory episode. She is survived by her mother Elaine (Patterson) Jule of Millis, sisters Beth (Brady) Baillargeon of Colchester, VT and Kristen Brady of Long Beach, CA, nieces Kiley, Jenna, and Lauren Baillargeon of Colchester, VT, aunt and uncle Gail and Jack Potter of Sudbury, MA, cousins, many friends, and her beloved German Shepherd, Detail.
Pattie was born in Natick, MA, graduated from Keefe Tech High School in Framingham, and attended Champlain College in Burlington, VT. Her compassion and desire to help others led her to a career in healthcare, and she worked in a Burlington hospital ER while volunteering as an EMT for Colchester (VT) Rescue. Pattie then settled in New Hampshire to work as a phlebotomist for the American Red Cross and later for a medical practice for many years. True to her caring nature, she also volunteered – alongside her rescue dog Detail – for a search and rescue non-profit, as well as at a youth detention center providing pet therapy.
Pattie will be remembered for her kindness and compassion, always putting others’ needs before her own. She had a fun sense of humor and a knack for making others feel at ease. She enjoyed simpler pleasures in life, including gardening, cooking, and hiking NH trails with her German Shepherd.
Pattie’s gifts brought comfort and warmth to all she touched. Her passing leaves a hole in our hearts, but we find solace in knowing she can now rest peacefully.
A Catholic Mass will be held on Monday August 24th at 10:30am at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Millis, MA, followed by a graveside service in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Due to COVID concerns, there will not be a gathering after the services, however a celebration of life luncheon will be planned at a future date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals):
